Anti-Corrosion Polyethylene Packaging Film for Metal Protection
VCI Film is a polyethylene-based anti-corrosion packaging film designed to protect metal products from rust and oxidation during storage, handling, and transportation. By releasing vapor-phase corrosion inhibitors inside sealed packaging, VCI Film forms a protective molecular layer on metal surfaces—providing clean, oil-free corrosion protection without additional treatments.
VCI Film uses Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) technology to protect metals in enclosed packaging. Once the metal parts are sealed inside the film, VCI molecules vaporize and spread throughout the package, attaching to metal surfaces and creating a temporary protective barrier.
This barrier helps reduce corrosion caused by humidity, oxygen, and environmental exposure, and disappears automatically when the package is opened—no cleaning required.
VCI Film is widely used for corrosion protection across manufacturing, logistics, and export industries, including:
Machined parts, stamped parts, and metal components
Automotive and motorcycle parts (gears, bearings, fasteners)
Industrial machinery parts and spare components
Metal structures and semi-finished metal products
Export packaging and long-term warehouse storage
It is suitable for single-item wrapping, grouped packaging, and inner liner use inside cartons or wooden cases.
Effective rust prevention without oils, greases, or coatings
Clean packaging solution – no residue on metal surfaces
Easy to use – pack, seal, store, or ship
Cost-efficient protection for long-distance transport and export
Flexible converting formats for different packing workflows
VCI Film can be supplied in multiple formats to match different packaging methods:
Single Wound / Double Wound Film – for general wrapping and covering
Centerfold Film – suitable for automated or semi-automated packaging lines
Flat Tubing – ideal for inserting long or continuous metal parts
Gusseted Tubing – for bulky or irregular-shaped metal products

To meet different storage and transport conditions, VCI Film can be combined with additional functional options:
Anti-UV – for outdoor or extended exposure
Flame Retardant – for regulated or high-risk environments
Reinforced Structure – enhanced puncture and tear resistance
Place clean, dry metal parts inside the VCI Film
Seal the package using heat sealing, tape, or tying methods
Store or transport under normal logistics conditions
Remove the film before use – no surface cleaning required
Q1: Does VCI Film need to touch the metal directly?
No. Protection works through vapor action inside a sealed package.
Q2: Is VCI Film suitable for export shipping?
Yes. It is commonly used for export, long-distance transport, and warehouse storage.
Q3: Can VCI Film replace oil-based rust prevention?
In many applications, yes—especially where clean, dry packaging is required.
Q4: How long does the corrosion protection last?
Protection duration depends on sealing quality, storage conditions, and film thickness.
VCI Film is an efficient, clean, and scalable anti-corrosion packaging solution for metal manufacturers, exporters, and industrial suppliers. With flexible formats, customizable specifications, and proven vapor-phase protection, it helps reduce rust-related losses and simplify metal packaging operations.
